Goethe-Zertifikat B1, B2 & C1
Goethe-Zertifikat is an official qualification recognised as proof of the respective knowledge level in German as a Second language. It confirms that one has an independent grasp of the German language.
The Goethe-Zertifikat consists of four modules, each of which tests one of the following skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening. The exam is conducted and assessed the same worldwide. GOETHE ZERTIFIKAT B1: is for learners who wish to live/work in a German speaking country or for those who already work in a German speaking environment and for those who wish to develop their German language skills. At this level (B1), the learner becomes independent. He/she understands key points of information about work, school and leisure time, is able to handle most situations that one can encounter when traveling in German-speaking countries, can express oneself simply and coherently on familiar topics and areas of personal interest and is able to talk about experiences and events, describe dreams, hopes and goals and provide brief explanations and statements of purpose. The Goethe-Zertifikat B1 is an ideal alternative to AS/A2.
GOETHE ZERTIFIKAT B2: At this level, the learner has a degree of independence that allows him/her to construct arguments to defend his/her opinion, explain his/her viewpoint and negotiate. The learner has a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions and is capable of correcting his/her own mistakes. People who have passed the Zertifikat B2 are exempt from taking language tests for entrance into German universities.
GOETHE ZERTIFIKAT C1: Language users at this level are independent. They can express themselves fluently and spontaneously. They have a large vocabulary and can choose the appropriate expression to introduce their comments. They can produce clear, well-structured discourse without hesitation and which shows controlled use of structures.
